Aveiro: The Town That Forgot to Wake Up

“Aveiro has much to offer, but never eat fish on a Monday — no self-respecting fisherman sets out to sea on a Sunday!”

These words of caution came from a refined gentleman we met in Porto — a native of Aveiro himself — when he heard we were on our way to that small town, just about an hour by train heading south toward Lisbon.
