A cozy space in the pines above Laulasmaa beach — now open for slow stays. Built board by board, the same way we live: unhurried, honest, close to the water.
BUILT BY HAND
Two years, mostly weekends, one plot of forest.
We spent most of the pandemic in Laulasmaa so we would not be be locked up in our city apartment. Since we weren’t able to travel and our work had to be done remotely, we decided to finish building our summer house, which had been sitting empty. In the end, we were here from winter to summer and from summer to winter again, in the forest and by the sea, building and taking long stroller walks with our child in nature. By the time the world was free of restrictions, Laulasmaa had grown close to our hearts, and so it became our weekend home.
On our travels, we’ve enjoyed both comfort and ascetic simplicity in secluded corners of the countryside; we would spent the nights in a camper van as well as with welcoming friends. Now we’d like to offer our own handcrafted accommodation to adventurers so they can experience a bit of Estonian summer house culture, which can still be felt to some extent in our nostalgic summer house community.

The Sandpackers Laulasmaa seaside home is located in a nostalgic summer vacation area. The house features air conditioning, a terrace and a balcony, a living room with a TV and floor-to-ceiling windows, 3.5 bedrooms, a bathroom with a toilet and a 150-liter water heater, as well as a large, well-equipped kitchen. An egg grill is available for use on the terrace.

WHERE IT SITS
Laulasmaa, Estonia - forest on one side,
sea on the other.
A pine forest, the sea, the Ott and Matilda café, and a bus stop are all within walking distance (about 10 minutes). LaSpa, the Laulasmaa Surf School (about 15 minutes), and the Arvo Pärt Center (20 minutes) are also nearby.
You can pick lingonberries and blueberries in the forest; mushrooms are scarce here, but if you look under the moss, you might still find a few chanterelles.
There is parking for 2 cars in front of the house, and an electric car charger is available.
We ask that guests do not bring pets so that the house remains allergy-free.
