Bangkok: Life Along the Canals

A colorful boat rushes noisily through the stagnant canal water. We´ve let a random boatman talk us into it shortly after arriving in Bangkok, and soon my attention is drawn to life along the klongs, where wealth and powerty exist side by side. Crumbling huts breathe near glorious temple structures, as if waiting for the fateful wake water of the river taxi to pull them into the canal. Life along the waterways is dynamic and inviting.
