Bangkok: Life Along the Canals
“A colorful boat rushes noisily through the stagnant canal water. We´ve let a random boatman talk us into it shortly after arriving in Bangkok, and soon my attention is drawn to life along the klongs, where wealth and powerty exist side by side. Crumbling huts breathe near glorious temple structures, as if waiting for the fateful wake water of the river taxi to pull them into the canal. Life along the waterways is dynamic and inviting. ”
Our story about life on the canals of Bangkok was published in the autumn 2024 issue of the photo magazine Positiiv.
On Thursday, October 3rd, Laura and Kudres shared their reflections on Bangkok in the main hall of Pärnu Central Library.
The photo exhibition BANGKOK: LIFE BESIDE THE KLONGS will be traveling through libraries across Estonia from October 2024 to December 2026.
This captivating showcase invites visitors to explore the unique culture, traditions, and daily life along Bangkok's iconic waterways, offering a glimpse into a world shaped by its close relationship with water. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this journey through photographs and stories as it visits a library near you!
