In two weeks through China's major cities

Looking out of the 23rd-floor window, late-night Hong Kong appears like a massive light installation. I leave the curtains open for the night to savor the view a little longer. We’ve arrived in China for a two-week journey through four major cities: autonomous Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Xi’an. Each city tells its own story, offering the dazzling brilliance of modern metropolises alongside the charm of historic sites.
